Branding a cultural festival as a destination attraction was a large part of what formed the concept behind Durham Big Sing. The event celebrates community singing in its widest form and aims to bring together singers from throughout the North East.
Having secured a pot of funding to establish the event it came down to how best to execute the creative so that we created the festival from the core values of the charity: Experience, Celebration, Inclusivity, Energise and Inspire.
By placing accessibility at the heart of the festival the ethos of meaningful inclusion aims to address the many barriers of taking part such as physical, mental & emotional health, social isolation and finance.
With an already recognised logo, the project was to build on the creative and develop a narrative that formed a brand that could deliver a community festival of over 2000 voices.
